The price difference between a mid-range and a high-end shaver is huge. And many men are happy with their mid-range shavers. So, this keeps us wondering if some of us are wasting our money?
Is Braun Series 3 better than a Series 7 shaver? Or is Panasonic Arc 3 better than Arc 5? And so on. These are tricky questions to answer.
It will normally depend on the individual and the shaver. For instance, Braun series 7 is less efficient for some than Braun CoolTec which comes under the Series 3 category. This is because CoolTec offers a more advance technology for handling sensitive skin with its Thermo-Electric-Cooling system. And if you have sensitive skin with a medium-thick beard, this is your shaver. Then again, the Series 3 comes with a less powerful motor and may not work as efficiently as a Series 7 for those with thicker facial hair.
For someone with a thick beard the Braun 3 series will take a longer time to shave, and will require multiple passes over the same area,to get the desired shave. So, the extra cost of the Series 7 is well spent for certain group of consumers. But for someone with finer beard and sensitive skin it makes a lot more sense to opt for CoolTec. It is cheaper and the cooling technology serves the purpose well.
Again, keep in mind that it is possible to get a good shave with just about any decent electric shaver, including some low-range shavers. If your only criteria is to get a clean and close shave, almost any shaver will serve your purpose.
While deciding on your ideal electric shaver your personal preferences always play a major role. For someone like me, what makes the difference is the overall shaving experience. I like my shaver to be fast, powerful, quiet, durable, ergonomic, and comfortable. Those are some of my deciding factors and it’s not about closeness alone. If closeness was the only concern for men we would all stick to manual blades. You get the best clean and close shave with blades. Period.
The style, LED display, hygiene indicator, automatic cleaning station or other glittering features may not directly enhance your shaving quality but these are often a necessary package with most high-end shavers, and the reasons why some people think such shavers are a waste of money. Yet, there are some people who love to drive a Lamborghini over Toyota too. A Toyota will serve the purpose well, but it is not always about serving the purpose. Anyway, as someone rightly said, if it works well for us, the shaver we chose is the best shaver on the planet.
So, going back to the original question, do we really need to buy top-of-the-line shaver? Yes for some, and no for others. How will I know if it is yes or a no for me? To identify your best electric shaver you need to read reviews and experiences of others, knowledgeable about shavers, know what you personally want from a Shaver, and frequently visit websites like Pick My Shaver.to stay informed
Believe me, from this you will make better decisions.
